Planchette
A tool for disambiguation and divining
Are we reading messages through the body, or from the body? Both sides of the skin receive information. I’m interested in instruments that are meant to dictate from beyond, but what is the source that is being channeled? Here I attempt to use a burnishing tool to access my gut intuition the way a Ouija planchette is used for listening, or a gua sha tool for sending a message to the fasica. Can my art tools assist in the communication between two forces?
